Big views in Little Cove

UNTIL now, I have been happy with the filtered views from Little Cove of the ocean through the trees. The way the streets twist and turn around the slopes of Noosa Hill, the treed environment is much of its charm.

That and the proximity to Noosa National Park to the east and Hastings St to the west. This top-floor unit in Allambi gives you views I have never had the opportunity to enjoy.

You are above the trees ... high enough to get the ocean and North Shore outlook without being too far from the beach.

"What's unique about this is Little Cove is finite,'' marketing agent Luke Chen said. "There's only 35 unit sites in this area ... total.

"You are geographically bound. You cannot spoil it. The national park is around the back, the ocean is in front of you, and Hastings St is within walking distance.

"There is a three-storey height limit. It's a pocket of perfection.

"Not only is it very tightly held, within that there are only a few that get this unimpeded view of the bay.

"Very few units get their head above the tree line and get the view.''

Built in 1989, Allambi consists of just eight luxury apartments. In June last year major renovations created a building that looks like new.

Being a corner unit, 8 Allambi has glass on two sides instead of just having the deck at the front and the door at back. As such, there is beautiful natural light and air-flow. Gazing due north, it has some of the best views and sun available in this precinct.

There is travertine-look tiling in the living areas which feature 5m of frameless glass bi-fold doors that open to the balcony.

The surf on the point is in front of you and Allambi's swimming pool is below, while Teewah and Double Island Point are in the distance.

An island bench is in the elevated kitchen which features Miele induction cooktop, under

bench oven and integrated dishwasher as well as insinkerator and soft-close drawers. The windows wrap right around to the stove splashback.

A bedroom or study comes with a small break-out balcony to the north west that gives slight glimpses back to Noosa Main Beach.

Stone tops are in the bathroom that has a rectangular basin and semi-frameless glass on the corner shower.

At the back, near the entry door, is the main bedroom with glass sliding doors on the built-in robes.

In the ensuite frameless glass is on the large shower with rainforest head while frosted glass gives privacy to the toilet.

Timber stairs turn back on themselves to the rooftop terrace and the view ... amazing. From the rivermouth to the national park and in front of you is the full curve of the North Shore beaches to Double Island with the Cooran Tableland mountains in the background.

There is a hideaway laundry in the unit which has a security garage and good lock-up storage for the owners.
