SUNSHINE Coast residents are continuing to use more water than anyone else in the state's south-east, according to new figures released by SEQ Water.

The average daily consumption for Coast residents over the 14 days to January 9 was 240 litres - well above the south-east average of 183 litres.

The Sunshine Coast consumption rate was higher than the same period last year when usage was 219 litre per person per day.
