POLICE have put the call out to the public for information regarding a number of recent break and enters at Redcliffe.

Around 1am on November 21, an unknown offender gained entry to a John St unit by lifting the locked screen doors off their tracks. Electrical goods were taken before the offender was disturbed by the resident.

Between 9.30am on November 24 and 7.30am on November 25, offenders gained access to a Marine Pde unit through a faulty balcony door. A sum of electrical goods, video games, a computer, telephone, keys and personal items were stolen.

Between 9pm on November 25 and 3am on November 26, offenders gained access to a Marine Pde unit through an unlocked door on a unit balcony. Electrical goods, DVD's and cash were stolen.

With severe heat conditions expected over the next few days, residents may forget to lock security doors and windows, making them vulnerable to similar offences.

Redcliffe police encouraged the public to ensure security doors and windows were locked at all times.

All residents are asked to review their current security at home and arrange for repairs if necessary, remembering that being above ground level will not deter offenders.

Anyone who observes suspicious behaviour such as people climbing up balconies should contact police immediately.
