Students race for glory
THE track was soft but the weather was fine for the Coolum State School cross-country run last Friday.
Ninderry was too strong on the day, finishing on 564 points ahead of Peregian (443), Marutchi (369) and Cooloola (364).
The competition was keen and a good time was had by all, especially those who took part in the Year 3 and 4 fun run and the prep obstacle course.
Principal Pat Cavanagh said it was great to see a high level of participation by students at the event, which was a good practice run for the district cross country that the school would host for the first time on April 29.
Mr Cavanagh thanked the Sunshine Coast council for “an exceptional job” cleaning up Barns Lane and the track for the races.
