Quiksilver Pro irresistible bait

Ever dream of spending a weekend at the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast watching all the surf action from your very own pimped out VIP area?

If you’re a surf fanatic and can paddle with the best of them, then here’s your chance.

Red Bull Heli Surf is offering two surfers the opportunity of a lifetime, but the exclusive prize will not be won easily.

Hopefuls will be required to paddle their surfboard in a “winner-takes-all” sprint that will take place simultaneously at two Queensland locations this Saturday – Coolum Beach and Surfers Paradise.

The first surfer to reach the Red Bull buoy at each of the locations will be winched to the heavens, and glory, by the Red Bull chopper.

The Coolum winner will be choppered to Coolangatta airport, chauffeur-driven straight to the beach and escorted to their front-row, VIP seats at the Quiksilver Pro.

All winners will receive airfares and/or transport to and from the Gold Coast, accommodation and money-can’t-buy VIP passes. The Coolum event starts with registration at 9am (or visit www.redbull.com.au), followed by the race at 10am.

Boards longer than 1.98cm (6’6”) and thicker than 6.35cm (2.5”) will not be eligible.

Competitors need to bring a bag of clothing and gear for an overnight stay to the event.
