Stampede crushes opposition 58-0

COOLUM Colts rugby league club invited its sponsors to last Saturday’s home game against Palmwoods to say thanks for their ongoing support.

And, right on cue, the club’s Red Rooster Cup team turned on one of its most spectacular displays of the season.

In front of a big home crowd, Coolum dominated the Palmwoods Devils in all aspects of the game to win 58-nil.

In one of the best defensive efforts this year, the Colts outplayed the Palmwoods boys in a six-try first half to lead 34-nil at half time.

Man of the match Luke Romaior was strong in attack and defence and was well supported by Blake Snow and Nick Hewton.

With the Coolum forwards dominating, the backs in the

second half showed what they could do and scored some magnificent tries to the delight of the home crowd.

The Colts travel to Palmwoods this week to take on Yandina.
