Meals on Wheels vice-president Ray Barber and committee member Rob Cobb prepare for next Saturday’s Bookfest.
IF you are into reading, you won’t want to miss the annual Coolum Meals on Wheels Bookfest on Saturday, September 18, at Coolum Civic Centre from 9am to 1pm.
There will be a huge range of books of all descriptions to suit every taste, including action novels, love stories, classics, cookbooks and children’s books.
President Pam Hubbard said the organisation hoped to raise about $3000 from the bookfest, which was its major fundraiser for the year.
Meals on Wheels delivers between 600 and 700 affordable meals a month to elderly and housebound residents from Marcus Beach to Maroochy River and west to Valdora.
Books for the event may be dropped off at Ray Barber’s office on Heathfield Road or phone 5446 1000 for books to be collected.
