See the new rec club

DEVELOPER FKP will hold an open day on Saturday to celebrate the imminent opening of the $4.5million Ridges Peregian Springs Recreation Club and sporting fields.

Visitors can enjoy a full day of fun activities, including a fashion parade showcasing local boutiques and designers, music from Michelle Brown, live visual art, a sausage sizzle, free coffee and muffins, face painting for kids, tennis demonstrations and safety displays in the new pool, hosted by the Coolum Surf Life Saving Club.

Ironmen competitors will be there from 10am and there will be an inflatable pool, so kids bring your togs.

One lucky person will win a three night holiday to Hamilton Island, including airfares, island shuttle transfers and buffet breakfasts for two.

The new Rec Club includes an eight lane, 25m heated lap pool, a kids pool, two lit tennis courts, club room, restaurant/cafe with two alfresco dining spaces, a fitness facility, incorporating a fully equipped 130sq m gymnasium and 60sq m gym studio for group exercise workshops, change rooms and toilets, a barbecue pavilion, a landscaped yoga and tai chi lawn and picnic area, a 66sq m business centre, including a boardroom and meeting rooms and more than 160 car spaces to be shared between the rec club and sports fields.

The lease of a 248sq m restaurant space has gone to tender.

Expressions of interest are being taken through Ray White Commercial Noosa and FKP.

The rec club and sports fields are due to open in April.

Saturday's open day will be from 10am-3pm at 222 The Avenue, Peregian Springs.
