Job Description – Restaurant Manager
(Bekko Teppanyaki Restaurant)
This role offers a daily management of the restaurant through the planning, organizing and coordinating of the restaurant’s staff and other resources for the efficient and profitable service of food and beverages.
This restaurant highlights the simplicity and tradition of Japanese teppanyaki environments at the moment or over a la carte in the future. This restaurant is focusing on quality fresh produce, amazing service, and is the first teppanyaki restaurant on the Sunshine Coast.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan and regularly review the restaurant menu in consultation with the chef ensuring that the menu is flavourful and popular with ingredients that are in season and readily available.
Arrange and record the efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies in consultation with the chef and in accordance with budgets approved by the restaurant owner.
Estimate food and beverage costs and assist in the preparation of monthly, weekly and daily budgets.
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
Schedule staff work hours, making sure that peak dining hours are covered; Assisting directors to work with the external bookkeeper& accountant .
Assist counter and service staff where required to take reservations, greet guests, take orders and arrange payment; Strong bar, wine, cocktail knowledge.
Supervise the operation of the kitchen in consultation with the chef ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to and the quality and consistency of menu items is maintained.
Perform other duties as and when required.
Qualifications and work experience
Diploma level qualifications in qualification in Hospitality Management and relevant work experience.
