Annual crowd pleaser springs into gear

On Sunday, August 30, the Coolum Kindy on Jones Parade will be looking for some generous grassroots support for its annual spring fair that helps fund the early education resources for 40 children.

Starting at 8am, this annual crowd pleaser will be a slightly scaled-down version on recent years and will be held in the grounds, rather than taking over the street for the morning.

There will be pluck-a-ducking for prizes, plant and cake stalls, a jumping castle and entertainment on stage from the likes of AusFunk Dance Studio and Hayley Green’s Models.

And there will be the kindy kids themselves, who will have the chance to wear fake tattoos and painted faces as part of some fundraising creativity.

Parents will sizzle sausages for the hungry bargain hunters attracted to the garage sale, and there’ll be plenty of freshly brewed coffee on hand.

Coolum Kindy is a C&K not-for-profit kindy operated by parents under the guidance of director Lorelle Frost.
