Bowling for fun, glory and cash

The Guardian Pharmacy May Carnival for lawns bowls took place on the weekend with an impressive play by the Coolum Bowls Club.

Pomona Bowls came out strongly again to grab the major dollars during Sunday Fours. Nambour followed a close second, Nambour Heights third and Coolum Beach came fourth.

The Coolum Beach Bowls team came first during the Saturday Triples, with Cooroy in second place and Pomona groaning behind in third. It was a great weekend, with a lot of laughs.

The final free “have a go” barefoot day is to be held on Sunday, May 25 from 1pm at the Cooroy Bowls Club. This is a great chance go for those that have never played before, and great practice for The Super Sunday Barefoot Series, which commences June 1. Get your team of four named and nominated for that now.

Nominate now for the Guardian Pharmacy Ladies Trophy Day held on May 29. Fantastic cash and prizes are up for grabs and men are welcome.
