It's not every day you see a man wearing a tutu in the street

IT'S not everyday you see a man wearing a tutu.

So when Wowan's Brendan Edgerton strode into Rockhampton yesterday, he certainly turned heads.

Striding around the city's CBD, Brendan and his pink tutu got plenty of honks on the horn from passing motorists.

But there's a reason behind Brendan's eye-catching getup.

Gearing up for his 'Brisbane to Bathurst via Broome' trip, Brendan was drumming up local support for his RU2TUFF2TUTU Ball.

At the ball, the blokes wear tutus, while the girls wear tuxedos.

Brendan hopes to arrange a ball on every part of the journey across Australia in his trusty car, the Bullet.

He's already organised for one to be held at the Raglan Tavern on September 26.

Every town that hosts a ball will also raise money for a charity of their choice.

Joining Brendan on the journey will be a cameraman mate, who'll film the trip for a documentary.
