Colts continue on winning way

The Coolum Colts undefeated season continued with their victory over the Beachmere Pelicans 34-22 in a hard-fought match at Beachmere.

The Colts were missing a few players through injury, but the players who stepped in did exceptionally well.

Led up front by man-of-the-match Wes Flieter, along with Luke Ramoir and Gavin Burke, the forwards dominated the opposition to set up a solid platform for the backs to take an 18-6 lead.

To Beachmere’s credit they kept on coming at Coolum to get the score back to 18-16.

The second half too was close, until the Colts stamped their authority with three tries.

Other good performers for Coolum were Drew Cantle, Brennon Nikolic, Blake Snow and Watamoo Jonathan.

At the end of round 10, Coolum is top of the table on 20 points, five clear of second-placed Yandina.
