Colts hammer Swans

The Coolum Colts put a cricket score on the Maroochydore Swans last Saturday in what captain-coach Nathan Ratcliffe described as the best team performance of the year.

Coolum scored 15 tries to win 78-0. Ratcliffe scored 20 points, while Darren Polla-Mounter made a welcome return from injury with three tries.

The Colts got off to a perfect start with a try in the first set of six and from then on completely dominated the opposition.

Leading 38-0 at half-time, Coolum scored another 40 points in the second half to outclass the hapless Swans.

Man of the match Dean Jessup was outstanding at hooker, making plenty of metres and tackling himself to a standstill.

He was well supported by Luke Romaior, Gavin Burke, Jay McCarthy, Wes Flieter and Josh Compton.
