The Coolum Colts have notched two in a row after defeating Beerwah in the grand final.

The Coolum side looked confident from the kick-off and took control early with tries to Ryan Carfantan and Pat Burns.

To Beerwah's credit they fought back and trailed 16-10 at half time.

The heat at Bribie Island was starting to take its toll on both sides but the Coolum fitness showed through with a four-tries-to-one second half, to take the match 36-16.

Man of the match and Mal Meninga Medal winner Dean Jessep was outstanding, as was Ryan Carfantan.

Tries went to Ryan Carfantan, 3, Jesse Shearer, 2, Pat Burns and Dean Jessep. Goals went to Drew Cantle, 4.

The following weekend saw the senior club have its presentation night at Peregian Beach Hotel.

A good night was had by all and the club thanked sponsors Pacific Office Solutions, Peregian Beach Hotel, United Tools, Coastal Energy and Peregian Butchery.
