Hotel wants more time

The Coolum Beach Hotel has applied to extend its trading hours to allow it to trade from 10am-3am Monday to Sunday.

The hotel’s current trading hours are from 10am until 2am, Monday to Saturday and from 10am until midnight on Sunday.

Grounds for objections to the application include “undue offence, annoyance, disturbance or inconvenience” to people who reside or work nearby or to anyone going to or from an existing or proposed place of worship, hospital or school.

Another valid objection would be if the amenity, quiet or good order of the locality concerned would be lessened in some way by the granting of the extended hours.

Objections or submissions should be sent by May 26 to:

Licensing Officer

Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing

Queensland Treasury

PO Box 819

Maroochydore
