On the council's "Kurilpa Renewal" website, it explains this area will reform 25 hectares "just across the river from Brisbane's Central Business District".

"An ambitious draft master plan has been developed to provide the framework for Kurilpa's transformation from industry and factories to a world-class riverfront destination welcoming 11,000 new residents and delivering 8000 new jobs."

According to the council, the redevelopment will support 11,000 new residents and 8000 workers.
