IT WAS a terrifying morning for a learner driver who went over the embankment at Toowoomba Plaza this morning.

The car cleared the car park's gutter and several boulders, tore through a shrub and flipped onto its roof as it came down the retaining wall to land on Ruthven St.

Queensland Fire and Rescue crews had to pull one trapped person from the car, but there were no serious injuries.
