Coolum Beach artist John G Pearson has won the Best Landscape award at the prestigious Kenilworth Art Prize.

John is an established, award winning artist who interprets the Australian landscape, capturing the subtleties of colour and light using a spontaneous technique in oil and acrylic.

He invites the viewer to breathe in the colours of the land.

His paintings of the landscape capture a quietness and sense of contemplation.

New works capture the intimacy of interiors usually with dramatic light sources.

His work can be seen at CoolArt in Coolum Beach, Gallery Beneath in Mooloolaba and the Montville Art Gallery.

His website is www.visualartist.info/johnpearson
