
Man trapped as semitrailer runs off road
UPDATE: THE driver of a truck that ran off the road at Merlwood this morning has been airlifted to Nambour hospital in a stable condition.
It is understood the man in his 50s has one broken leg and a significant injury to the other, as a result of being trapped in the cab of the semi-trailer.
Fire crews freed the man from the vehicle off Gayndah Rd near Bicks Rd this morning.
11.04AM: A helicopter is on route to Merlwood where fire crews have rescued a man in his 50s from a semi-trailer.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 9.45am this morning and found a truck in a paddock off Gayndah Rd near Bicks Rd, north of Murgon.
The man was trapped in the vehicle and reportedly has a significant leg injury.
