DARREN Percival is still in shock after all four judges on the hit talent show, The Voice turned around during his blind audition.

The 40-year-old Coolum man sang Jealous Guy by John Lennon in front of 500 people including judges Keith Urban, Seal, Delta Goodrem and Joel Madden.

He said he walked onto the stage, just as he had thousands of times before, and made the performance of his life.

"It was the highlight of my career," Darren said.

Darren, who has sung his whole life, has made a living off his craft, performing under the name Mr Percival. He hopes this break will bring him closer to making it big in the industry.

"My (musical) profile has been hovering in the underground," he said.

"It is time to take it to the next level."

The singer-songwriter, had the pick of all the judges after his performance, but chose to join Team Keith.

"He is such a great bloke, it was on my bucket list to work with Keith, so I made the most of the opportunity," he said.
