Boy, woman in hospital after motorway pile-up

UPDATE 9.20AM: A boy and a woman are in hospital after a crash on the Sunshine Motorway. 

Emergency crews rushed to the scene this morning after the smash on the Mountain Creek northbound on-ramp that involved up to five cars. 

Paramedics have taken a boy and a woman to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Both have suffered possible neck injuries and are in a stable condition. 

Traffic is still slow from the crash site back to Sippy Downs in the motorway's eastbound lanes. 
 

BREAKING 8.10AM: Emergency crews are arriving on the scene of a crash at Mountain Creek that has already seen traffic come to a standstill. 

Paramedics were called to the crash on the northbound Sunshine Motorway on-ramp at Mountain Creek. 

The call came about 8am, but within ten minutes traffic has already backed up to the Kawana Way turnoff. 

First reports indicate the crash involved five cars.
