Carnival season starts with a bang

THIS Saturday there is proficiency testing for both Bronze Medallion and ARC.

The ARC Proficiency will commence at 8am and the Bronze Proficiency will start at 9.30am.

Please ensure you are eligible to commence these proficiencies by confirming you are a financial member of 2011-12 season, have completed your theory paper and timed pool swim and handed them to admin, have the award you are doing the proficiency for and have brought your club cap to wear in the water.

Carnivals

IT is getting to that time of year when the surf carnivals are back on.

Last weekend saw the first masters and open carnival at Rainbow Beach in conjunction with the annual season opener for nippers.

If you are keen to compete this year please contact admin or surf sports officer Sharleen Swan the to register your interest.

The next Masters carnival is Mooloolaba on November 5. Entries close October 28. This seasons carnival dates are all on the website.

All competitors are reminded that it is a requirement to enter two carnivals prior to the Queensland or Australian titles to be eligible to apply for accommodation subsidies.
