Police officer catches child falling from building

HEART-stopping footage captured the moment a hero police officer was able to catch a young child as he fell from the balcony of a third story building in Egypt.

The officer was on patrol with two colleges in the city of Assiut when they noticed a five-year-old boy dangling from the window of a third-floor apartment.

The boy was reportedly at an engagement party when he climbed onto a table and fell out the window.

Egypt's Interior Ministry released a video of the incident showing the three policemen all rushing to catch the child as he plunges towards the ground.

Luckily one officer manages to catch the child moments before he hits the ground, with the force making him fall backwards.

The boy was reportedly unharmed but one of the policemen was injured and was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
