Police officers stood down in Northern Police Region

TWO male Constables from the Northern Police Region were stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service on Friday 24 July 2015.

The officers are subject of a disciplinary investigation concerning allegations of the use of excessive force and failure to treat a member of the public with dignity and respect.

In keeping with the Queensland Police Services commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, the Service has undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.

This does not mean that the allegations against the officers have been substantiated.
