Teen mum had bong fashioned from baby's bottle

A BONG fashioned out of a baby's bottle, a bin full of syringes, a bag of meth and a backpack containing stolen goods, landed teenage mother Ashlee Skye Adams in court last week.

The 18 year old faced 13 charges relating to the possession of dangerous drugs and stolen property resulting from raids of the backyard shed she was living in at Urangan.

Her lawyer, Stuart Riddell, told the court that despite having a baby at 16, Ms Adams completed school and worked for a time in retail.

He said his client had moved to the Sunshine Coast but on her return, had fallen in with the "wrong crowd".

Mr Riddell said not all of the drugs, 20-plus syringes and stolen electronics had belonged to her but she had been charged because it was her property.

Ms Adams was sentenced to two years' probation.
