Spring fling art to brighten up the region

COOLUM Artists have a spring in their step as they prepare for their upcoming exhibition, The Spring Fling.

The Coolum Art Collective holds two major exhibitions a year, at Easter and in spring.

Artists have been painting together for 50 years now and the art show has become a well-known event within the community.

"Over the years artists have come and gone but, in that time, every exhibition they have presented has been a diverse mix of painting styles and genres,” artist Fiona Groom said.

"Therefore this September exhibition The Spring Fling will not disappoint.”

Works will be displayed Coolum Civic Centre from September 28-30, where guests can expect to see beautiful landscapes expertly rendered, seascapes reminding them of the beautiful ever present coast line.

Animal life will be present along with portraiture and a little abstraction, there will be something for everyone.

The Spring Fling will be opened on Saturday, September 29, at 6pm.

Join the group and celebrate with a glass of wine and some nibbles, all are welcome at Coolum Civic Centre, Park St, Coolum.
