Step on red carpet in aid of charities

Coolum Commerce is staging a Hollywood-themed Charity Ball at Hyatt Regency Coolum on Saturday, July 5.

The ball is designed to raise money for local combined charity groups in much need of funds. Coolum Commerce has 80 members and involves businesses in the local area from Peregian Beach to Maroochy River.

The group has been involved in supporting local events such as the Coolum Kite Festival, Australia Day celebrations and numerous community events.

The Hyatt has provided Coolum Commerce with The Pavilion Room, which will be designed as a Hollywood Oscar Red Carpet Event. A talented MC and a highly professional five-piece band will entertain and a silent auction will be held, as well as engaging an auctioneer for other smaller prizes to raise funds and awareness of the cause.

Coolum Commerce expects to sell 400 tickets to the event, with promotion being from local business and community groups.

Tickets will be priced at $170 per head. This includes a sumptuous dinner, drinks and entertainment.

Coolum Commerce would like to offer businesses the opportunity to be involved in this local charity event with sponsorship packages.
