There were some very excited young Coolum locals last month, when the winners of Coolum Surf's Mechanical surfboard competition took delivery of their brand new Darren Hadley and Luke Short surfboards.

There were smiles all round as Coolum Surf's Jonathan Riviere presented the winners with their prizes.

The competition was part of Coolum Surf's grand opening promotion in August and the boards were all custom made.

Coolum Surf owner Neil Raaschou and manager Bluey are keen to support the local community and have been working closely with Coolum Boardriders and Coolum Primary School.
