Now that's a quick response...
MEDICAL help was on hand sooner than usual after a crash on the Bruce Hwy on Wednesday night.
Miraculously no one was seriously injured when a car and an ambulance collided head-on at Yandina in the 110kmh zone of the highway.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the driver of the car was travelling in the northbound lane when he veered into the southbound lane and the path of the paramedics' vehicle.
A patient in the back of the ambulance was being transported to hospital at the time.
Firefighters were called to the scene about 6.30pm, but the driver was able to exit his car without help.
Traffic was interrupted on the highway when the southbound lanes were closed.
The paramedics were uninjured, but their patient was complaining of neck pain.
The driver of the car was transported to Nambour General Hospital with minor injuries - and in another ambulance.
