EARLIER: MORE than 2000 homes are without power this afternoon after powerlines came down in the central region of the Sunshine Coast.

Bli Bli and Maroochydore are the worst affected suburbs with more than 1000 people in each suburb losing power about 1pm.

A few hundred homes at Kuluin, Rosemount and Diddillibah have also lost power.
