The Coolum under-13 girls’ soccer team continued on their winning way on Saturday with a solid outing against Woombye.

The highlight of the match was Kahla Mawby’s superb headed goal.

Megan Rowley took advantage of the narrow Woombye field to lob an enticing ball from the corner into the box to Kahla, who powered home a terrific header into the top left corner of the net.

Leilani Purchase showed she possesses a terrific throw-in to drive Coolum’s attack forward down the wing and Freya Dodd’s energetic effort in midfield won her the most consistent player award for the day.

The passing from the centre was awesome, with Claire Glackin and Tijana Ljubisavljevic continually delivering quality balls to the forwards and wingers.

Tijana had a superb game, coupling terrific passing with excellent finishing to grab a hat-trick of great goals.

Larissa Crummer’s dazzling footwork continually mesmerised the opposition and she set up and scored a host of goals.

The Woombye players tried hard, but they had no answer to Coolum’s passing game and the final score of 17-nil reflected Coolum’s dominance of the match.
