Whether you fancy yourself an avid speedway fan, a whiz on a kayak or simply love to race, you're going to love one or more of the events being held in the region in the coming days.

Not forgotten, there is also a variety of events for those interested in plants, food and wine, and music.

First, why not enjoy flowers, demonstrations, plant sales and a sausage sizzle at the Q150 October Orchid Bonanza? This year's theme is "Stepping Back in Time", so step back and enjoy a mini trip through the history of the orchid.

The festivities will be held at Bribie Island State High School, Friday 9am to 4pm. Cost is $4 per person, which includes snacks. For more information phone Lynn on (07) 3410 1919.
