Woman tries to rob taxi driver at knife point

POLICE are investigating an attempted armed robbery incident that occurred in Caboolture last night.

About 7.15pm, a taxi service picked up a woman from Caboolture Railway Station who requested to be driven to a licensed premises on King Street.

As the vehicle approached the intersection of King Street and Bellmere Road, the woman produced a knife and threatened to assault the male driver.

When the driver exited the vehicle, the woman attempted to start the car however was unsuccessful.

The woman fled the vehicle on foot towards Bellmere Road.

No one was injured during the incident and no property was stolen.

Investigations are continuing.
