My beautiful Abbeykitty was killed in December last year, by 2 roaming dogs from the Allenstown area, now her 17 year old sister Molly has suffered the same fate,by the same 2 dogs, she was killed this morning saturday the 27th of Feb between 6am and 9am, I had only let her out from under the house at 530am and fed her before I went to work, my husband caught the dogs in the yard around 9am, they had already killed her by the time he got to her, now these dogs have killed twice, my neighbour has a cat also that lives out the front of there yard, will she be the next to go, Molly was 17 years old, never leaves the yard during the day, and is locked up safely at night, the owners of these dogs are to blame once again, how about you secure your dangerous dogs, or better still remove them from the city area, and how about you come and knock on my front door and say sorry, we have lost both our much loved cats to your dogs, because you are irresponsible owners.

On the 14th of December, two roaming dogs in the Allenstown area came into our Parnell street yard, and killed our beautiful 16 year old cat, while she sun baked in her own yard, they broke both her back legs, and squashed her insides, she would have died a horrible death, I do not blame the dogs, I blame the owners for having such big dogs, and not keeping them in a secure yard, the yard would not have been secure for these huge dogs to get out, for the 10 years we have lived here, never have we had dogs come into our yard and attack our cat, The council man said the owners or the dogs live in the street behind us,and would be getting a huge fine, Well yes a fine may be ok to the council, but we just lost a much loved member of our family who we had for a long time, she would spend her days sleeping and enjoying the sun, not hurting anyone, until she had to be put away in the evenings, Our xmas is now a sad one, so to the owners of these dogs, I hope now that your dogs never get out again, so no one else has to feel this pain, to anyone who has dogs, keep the locked up there are way too many roaming the streets, next time it could be a child.
